Creeping along between the rain storms. That's gonna be life for the next week. Didn't that new movie just come out, sorta a sequel to Bruce Almighty, about building an Ark? Folks in this area and Texas might want to ah ... like start looking for lotsa lumber.Actually, it's not all that bad for riding because 1st the storms don't start until late morning which gives me a chance to get outta Dodge and 2nd because it's hot enough so it actually feels good. I just worry about slick roads and they are slick. I don't know what's on them dust or something. Oh yea, and then there is the bricked street in Historical Natchi .... I'm tired of spelling the name. They must have used grease to bind the brick dust because they are slick.
Anyway, San Antonio is just down the street and I have plenty of time to get there so this gives me the chance to check out towns along the way like Natchi ... I got settled in, grabbed the camera and went looking for a beer which brought me to Mama's Oyster House. You know, life ain't too bad when you have a cold Red Stripe, Cajun alligator and UB40 going. Well the folks at Mama's said it was alligator but it could have been pretty much anything. I know it wasn't pizza! Great bunch of folks at Mama's, Clay (owner), Sheena (barkeep), Cynthia (Cook), thanks for the hospitality.
Allllllrighty then, I'm outta here to find some dinner. I don't have a clue where I'll be tomorrow.
